ABOUT AJKUN BALLET THEATRE:
Ajkun Ballet Theatre is widely known for its balanced repertory of challenging ballets, familiar classics and innovative creations, stimulating its dancers to consistently raise their artistic bar.
AjkunBT annually tours the USA, Europe and Australia performing for thousands of people during its 48 weeks season and enjoys a partnership with over 100 National Opera Houses and Ballet Companies around the world.
AUDITION DETAILS:
Ajkun Ballet Theatre prides itself on a diverse roster of artists, and we encourage dancers of all citizenships to audition. Dance Students (age 14+) are eligible for our Summer Trainee programs (Performing in New York and Dance in Italy), and Dance Students and Professionals (age 16+) are eligible for our Full Time Trainee Program or Company Positions. Company Contracts are 48 weeks (fulltime) or 23-26 weeks (part time). Qualifying dancers may be referred for employment to AjkunBT's Partners in Dance, a worldwide network of over 100 dance companies sharing our vision to open the avenues of opportunities to younger dancers of any citizenship.
The audition will consist of a ballet class, conducted by AjkunBT Company Artist Brittany Larrimer. FEMALE DANCERS should be prepared to show pointe work.

SEEKING DANCERS AND CHOREOGRAPHERS
"When Life's A Musical"
A 10 minute student film set in a musical world.
Kallan, a misfit in a world where everyone can sing and dance, wants to win the heart of Maemi, the Mayor's daughter. Rejected by society, Kallan must prove himself worthy to win her love.

Location: Queensland, Australia.
Current Payment Details: Unpaid.
We are looking for a choreographer with a broad range of skills. Needs a predominantly jazz background but with the option of choreographing contemporary routines.
This choreographer needs to be available for rehearsals at least twice a week until shoot begins.
Shoot: September 15 - 21, 2011..
Must be familiar with choreographing large groups (in a variety of ages) in a musical theatre style.
Influences: Hairspray, Oliver, High School Musical, Glee!
Any gender, aged 18 to 60.
Attended dancing school: Yes
